I just finished my third exercise session of the "Magic Seven" within the last six days. They really don't seem like much, but there must be something to them because I feel so good the next day.
I just had a delicious steamed dinner for one:
Pre-cooked lentils (3/4 cup)
spinach
onion
tomato
green pepper
small squash
cayenne pepper
salt
black pepper
1/2 teaspoon tameric
assorted herbs
EVERYTHING IS STEAMED FOR ABOUT 8 minutes
Add to a mixing bowl with tblspn of Dejon mustard and tblspn of Veganese
and mix. DELICIOUS!
Things are going well.

Nine Months 306.4
I received my nine month AA token of achievement this morning. It is kind of startling that I am half way through the college football and NFL schedule without any suds. Miracles do happen.
I've got to go to recycling today and then I'll do a bicycling trip to POPA (Prince of Peace Abbey).
Tonight, I'll to a large gathering of AA in Vista. Somehow our particular morning meeting group volunteered to set up the meeting site for tonight. So it's a full schedule for today.
I was going to ride my bicycle to this morning's meeting without Nancy, but no matter how quiet I was she got down off the bed at the right moment of departure and laid a guilt trip on me so I drove with her to the meeting instead.
That's about all for today. The weather is around 70 degrees and sunshine and I'm lovin' it.

Sunday night
I was quite proud of myself tonight. I spent an entire afternoon at the abbey and didn't think about the Chargers/Giants game at all. I didn't find out the score by asking, but merely by over-hearing someone talking at a meeting.
When I got home it was dark. I took Nancy out for her run. Everything was going well when she stopped to add some liquid fertilizer to a corner lawn. I rode my bike a little past the corner and waited. She charged across the street and jumped the curb and ran smack into a cement wall. Fortunately, she wasn't hurt but only stunned and confused. A couple of days ago the vet said her eyes were fine and that the only way she would be able to tell if something were wrong with Nancy's eyes would be to conduct a microscopic inspection......translation: a lot of money. I'll just have to keep her on leash near cement walls ....... much cheaper. I felt so bad for her. I am so attached to her it is hard for me to leave without guilty feelings.
Ernie emailed me tonight and suggested if we were to meet at the USD ticket office prior to the game next Saturday that in all likelihood we would be the only ones there since the game is being played in Minnesota. Back to the drawing board.

Sunday Stuff 305.4
A nice little bite to the weather, not too cool but not warm.
My body is feeling pretty good. I've noticed that soreness is not with me and that the knee is working like it's supposed to. Still doing the vegan thing. I will ride my bike to a store about four miles from here for some basics. Baby spinach is my main vegetable ingredient in all of my dishes.
I'm riding up to the Prince of Peace Abbey in a few minutes to see what's going on. It's a pretty good hill so I'll probably be doing some walking.
I took Nancy to the vet the other day and she is in fine health. It was pointed out that she has the beginnings of gum disease so hopefully I'll remember to brush her teeth occasionally.
I'll be taking the train and riding my bike to the University of San Diego football game next Saturday. I'll meet Bill Erne (known him since 1951) and then maybe do an after-the-game Mexican food thing.
So that's the happenings around Oceanside.

Yesterday 303 Today 305.6
We had a great visit in Portland with all of the gathered clan. All aboard looked healthy and fit. Watching the bonding between Avery and Dylan was very warming, what a treat.
The trip home was a nice drive. We didn't push it too hard which meant that we did overnights in Newport, OR and Santa Nella, CA.
Today, I picked up our mail at the post office after riding a bike with Nancy at my side to a meeting. After that I picked up two developed rolls of film which turned out nicely.
I had visions of applying myself towards working out, but I overdosed on a foot long veggie Subway so I'm just typing this and juggling things around in my head.
I feel that things are falling into place as far as weight reduction and increased strength production.
I have to go to Discount Tires for a 5,000 mile rotation as well as pick up a sympathy card for Dot Reilly and her family. Al passed away Sunday after a prolonged bout with Alzhemer's.
So things are going well and getting back to normal. November 10th will signify 9 months of sobriety. February 10th will be the one year anniversary date. After that you won't hear much mentioned of the program though I will still be involved; enough is enough, not only of drink, but of celebration too.
